3-Minute Read

The necessity to understand and share the messages of Revelation 14 with the world today—this was the purpose and focus of the Three Angels’ Messages (3AM) Symposium hosted in Soquel, Calif., in early September.

The event, co-hosted by the Central California Conference (CCC), brought in speakers from around the country to conduct seminars. The speakers included Norman McNulty, Dee Casper, Louis Torres, Sebastien Braxton, Narlon Edwards, Carlos Muñoz, Oleg Lotca, and Dan Serns. Each speaker explored the three angels’ messages from a different perspective.

“The three angels’ messages are so deep,” shared Oleg Lotca, president of Streams of Light International (SOLI), during his seminar titled The Three Angels’ Messages and the Everlasting Gospel. “The plan of salvation is the everlasting gospel, and the three angels’ messages focus on the fullness of the gospel that will prepare [a] people to stand in these last days.”

From the need to understand the urgency and relevance of these messages, to their connection with literature evangelism and other inspired methods for sharing these messages, to how the church will finish the work, each seminar affirmed the need for God’s people to step out and fulfill the role of the Church for such a time as this.

“There is a world to win for Jesus and His final message,” said Dan Serns, president of the CCC, during the Symposium. “We have literally tens of thousands of dedicated Seventh-day Adventists who love the Lord and think that what they need to do to finish the work is to pray a little more, or study the Bible a little more, or have a little more of the Holy Spirit. All of those are essential, but there comes a time when we have to do what the Bible says over and over again, which is, ‘Arise and go.’”

On Sabbath afternoon, Sept. 2nd, attendees spent part of the second day of the Symposium joining the Central California Mission Trip hosted by SOLI to help reach Santa Cruz and parts of the Silicon Valley for Christ. The hands-on outreach offered participants a chance to take the concepts they’d learned and apply them to daily life, as well as receive practical training for door-to-door literature evangelism.

“This event revealed that I still have a lot to learn about the details in the three angels’ messages,” said 27-year-old Aksana Buster, one of SOLI’s mission trip volunteers and a Symposium attendee from Texas. “Events like this Symposium motivate me to study more, as the more we know, the more we can share, resulting in being more equipped to have deeper conversations at doors.”

Another participant shared that they were not only able to see the three angels’ messages in a new way, but also learned how to lovingly share them with others.

The 2nd Annual Three Angels’ Messages Symposium will be held in San Francisco in September of 2024. For more information about next year’s Symposium, visit our events page.
