One Book in Every Home: A Slogan We Repeat, or a Vision We Are Willing to Give All For?
Streams of Light has been in existence since 2020, birthed out of prayer, fasting, and deep study of the Word of God. At the center of it all was a bold vision—one that demanded tremendous energy, zeal, dedication, sacrifice, and above all, faith:
One Book in Every Home.
This is the vision that started this ministry. It is the vision that motivated leaders, staff, volunteers, supporters, and prayer partners to make sacrifices and take steps of faith in order to see it fulfilled. It demanded faith when resources were scarce. It demanded courage when the path forward was unclear. It demanded sacrifice when the cost seemed too high.
The pioneer days of this ministry were marked by early mornings, long nights, exhausting travel, pressing deadlines, financial burdens, and countless unseen acts of dedication. Free time was sacrificed. Family time was sacrificed. Personal comfort was sacrificed. Our staff and leaders stepped into the unknown and carried responsibilities that often felt larger than themselves.
But this vision was never carried by a handful of individuals alone. It was carried by faithful supporters who gave when resources were limited. By prayer partners who faithfully interceded for the work. By volunteers who gave their time and energy. By churches that embraced the mission. By countless believers who believed that placing truth-filled books into homes was worth their time.
Every book distributed, every door opened, and every life touched has been the result of God’s blessing upon a growing family of people united around a common calling.
All of this because of the vision.
One Book in Every Home was never a light statement, a catchy phrase, or a trendy slogan. It was never a matter of if it would be done, but a matter of trusting God in how it would be done.
The vision of One Book in Every Home has always been about far more than distributing literature. It is about mobilizing the vast majority of God’s church, empowered by the latter rain, to participate in God’s final work of sharing the last warning message and preparing a people for His return.
And while we praise God for what has already been accomplished, we are reminded that the work before us remains enormous.
There are countless neighborhoods that have not been reached. Communities that have not been entered. Families that have never held one of these books in their hands. Millions of people are still waiting for someone to care enough to bring them the message of hope found in Jesus.
The question is not whether the vision is worthy.
The question is: How much are we willing to give to see it fulfilled?
Every generation of God’s people has been called to sacrifice for the advancement of His kingdom. The disciples left their nets. Missionaries crossed oceans. Reformers risked everything for truth.
Today, God is still calling ordinary men and women to invest their prayers, resources, time, influence, and lives into His mission.
What might happen if God’s people embraced this vision with fresh commitment?
What might happen if every church became a lighthouse?
What might happen if every supporter became a Light Squad member?
What might happen if we prayed for this mission as though eternity depended on it?
Friends, I want to encourage you to ask God how He is calling you to go deeper. Now more than ever, God is calling an army of church members and leaders to share the Three Angels’ Messages with a world in need. And as we answer that call, may we never forget that the fuel for this ministry, the fuel for this vision, and the fuel for the Loud Cry is the Holy Spirit.
