A Message from Pastor Scott Griswold:

Streams of Light International came to Texas for a big blitz. In four days, 21,000 books went out and 250 Bible studies were found. In Houston, Texas, we got to be a part of it and we loved it. We helped package up books, we helped get some lunches ready for those going out, and then with our church plants, we got to go door to door. We even found six Bible studies of our own. I love this ministry.

Quite a few years ago, we visited Houston, Texas before we lived there and as we were going door to door, I heard some of the young people say, “I met somebody who said, ‘no English, Vietnamese’ and I didn’t have anything to give to them.” That stuck in my mind and I began to pray that God would help us put together a website that would have everything we could find that was excellent, biblical, and in many many languages.

Well, God has blessed, and together with volunteers we now have a website called MyLanguageMyLife.com. You can find over 180 language pages with Bible studies, Bibles online, the Jesus film, Adventist World Radio, 3ABN, all kinds of stuff specifically on that language. When you meet somebody and they speak Vietnamese, you can take them there to all the good resources that they can see.

I encourage you whether you have the Streams of Light International copies of The Great Controversy in your hand or you just have the business card, or you remember it on your phone, to be able to take people to the site let them hear in their own language. Then they will feel the joy and want to be able to pursue it and learn more. At the door or in the parking lot, when it’s appropriate, you can ask, “Do you speak another language besides English?” As they answer, “Well, I’m from India. I speak Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, and more,” you say, “Wow, that’s amazing! Can I show you a website that has a bunch of languages? I’m sure it has yours.” Then you can show them right from that poster at the back of The Great Controversy. They can take a picture of the QR code and go there, or you can help them find it. As they listen, then you can even ask them, “Can I save this to your home screen?” That way, when they open their phone, they’ll be able just to click on it and go there many times.

In almost all the languages, we now have The Great Controversy there, so they won’t have to stick this book on a shelf because they can’t understand it. They’ll be able to let this book enter their heart and mind through their own language.

God loves the world and He gave Jesus so the whole world could be reached. He needs us to go and meet the people that He has sent from around the world as refugees, immigrants, and international students to our very doors, that we might share the truth with them. They might hear the three angels’ messages and then they can share it back through their phones around the world, unto the coming of Jesus.
