— September 29, 2024 – Streams of Light International is pleased to announce the appointment of Jay Gallimore, retired President of the Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, as the new Chair of its Board of Directors. Gallimore brings a wealth of leadership experience and spiritual insight from his decades of service to the church, including his tenure as Michigan Conference President, which spanned over 25 years.
Gallimore’s deep commitment to mission-driven work and his passion for sharing the gospel align perfectly with Streams of Light International’s vision of distributing The Great Controversy and other truth-filled literature to homes across North America. His leadership is expected to further strengthen the organization’s efforts and expand its impact in bringing hope and spiritual revival to communities.
“I am honored to join Streams of Light at such a pivotal time,” said Gallimore. “The work being done here is more important than ever as we continue to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the world. I look forward to building on the strong foundation that has been laid.”
Streams of Light International would also like to express its deepest gratitude to Elder Louis Torres, the outgoing Board Chair, for his dedicated service and leadership over the past four years. Under his guidance, the organization made tremendous strides in furthering its mission, and his sound and godly counsel have been invaluable to the ministry. We are grateful for the faithful support that both he and his wife, Carol, have given to Streams of Light. Elder Torres’ passion and unwavering commitment have left an indelible mark on the ministry, and his contributions will continue to inspire the work of Streams of Light for years to come.
