Dear Streams of Light Family,
It is quite amazing to watch the Lord working in these times. I’m thankful to Him for bringing so many wonderful partners to the ministry—as mission trip volunteers, financial supporters, and men and women who are carrying this vision forward in local churches. I also would like to thank each of you for your faithfulness in the work which you have been called.
I have news to share from our Board of Directors. In a recent board meeting, it was voted to approve that this ministry start a Mission Training School. This 10-month training center will prepare lay leaders who will help train church members to share the three angels’ messages, especially in the large cities. We believe that the Lord will use the school to multiply SOLI’s mission and accomplish its vision. With His help, our desire is to have the school open by the fall of 2025. There is a lot that has to happen for that desire to become a reality. We are also praying about the health component of this school. Friends, all that we do in these last days has to be based on the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy counsel. Our own ideas will prove to be outdated at some point. We have no time for human devising; we need a daily baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is the only way we will be able to be laborers together with Him, and it is the only way we can stay faithful to Him.
The greatest manifestations of God’s simple-yet-powerful methods are ahead of us. Let’s spend more time with the Lord. Let’s ask the question every morning, “Lord, what would you have me do today?” And the Lord will guide each one of us and our families from glory to glory, even if that means going through the furnace of affliction and purification.
I would like to share two very important quotes with you. One of the quotes is shaping my own walk with the Lord, and the other is directing me to the Lord for counsel and advice on evangelistic strategies. I trust that they will bless you as well.
A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work. There must be earnest effort to obtain the blessing of the Lord, not because God is not willing to bestow His blessing upon us, but because we are unprepared to receive it. Our heavenly Father is more willing to give His Holy Spirit to them that ask Him than are earthly parents to give good gifts to their children. But it is our work, by confession, humiliation, repentance, and earnest prayer, to fulfill the conditions upon which God has promised to grant us His blessing. —Signs of the Times, May 17, 1883
There is no change in the messages that God has sent in the past. The work in the cities is the essential work for this time. When the cities are worked as God would have them, the result will be the setting in operation of a mighty movement such as we have not yet witnessed.
