HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Streams of Light Training Institute, in partnership with the Gulf States Conference, will conduct a city-wide mission trip in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, from January 17–23, 2027, with a goal of reaching up to 25,000 homes in just one week.
Led by students in the Comprehensive Evangelism Course, the outreach will include literature distribution, connecting with community members, and offering prayer and Bible study opportunities. Bible study interests generated during the mission trip will be followed up through a five-month evangelistic campaign conducted by the students.
“This is the first mission trip hosted at our Gulf Coast Campus in Lumberton, and we are looking to reach the entire city with the Three Angels’ Messages,” said Johnny Henderson. “This outreach will kickstart the five-month evangelistic campaign that our comprehensive evangelism students will undertake.”
The mission trip will include outreach training geared to equip all levels of outreach experience.
Standard registration of $200 will include on-campus housing at the Streams of Light Gulf Coast Campus in Lumberton, Mississippi, plant-based meals during the mission trip, local transportation, a mission trip T-shirt, and participation in all training and outreach activities. A free local registration option will also be available for those who wish to participate in the training and outreach portions of the event.
Organizers are inviting church members to begin praying for the city of Hattiesburg, the volunteers who will participate, and the many individuals and families who will be encountered during the outreach effort.
Registration information and additional details will be released in the coming weeks.
