Bring Your Bible. All Are Welcome.

For many years, the Gulf States Conference has hosted camp meeting at Bass Memorial Academy. As conversations began regarding the future of the property, the Conference approached us about hosting camp meeting this year.

After much prayer, counsel, and discussion, we are excited to share that Streams of Light International, in partnership with the Gulf States Conference, will be launching an annual Bible Conference.

What Is the Bible Conference?

This is more than a camp meeting, it is a complete re-envisioning of what camp meeting can be. The Bible Conference is designed to be deeply biblical, intentionally evangelistic, and strongly community-focused, while still providing spiritual nourishment for our church members.

Conference Dates & Structure

May 15–24

May 15–21 | Training & Outreach Week
The first portion of the conference will focus on comprehensive evangelism training and hands-on outreach for church members. Church members will be trained in:

  • Literature evangelism
  • Bible work
  • Health evangelism

Every method taught will be immediately put into practice through outreach in the local community—allowing participants to experience the various methods.

May 21–24 | Evangelistic Bible Conference
The second portion of the conference will be fully evangelistic in nature, and geared towards the community, featuring John Bradshaw as the main speaker. In addition, the conference will include:

  • Bible classes and seminars
  • Health seminars, expos, and screenings
  • Dedicated prayer seasons
  • Programs for children, teens, and young adults

Each evening will also highlight different Adventist ministries sharing powerful mission stories, along with exhibits where both Adventists and community members can learn about the work God is doing through various ministries.

A Community-Centered Mission

Our entire local evangelism strategy is built around this event. We are actively working the territory, building relationships with local businesses, networking with Sunday churches, and inviting the wider community to come and hear the Word of God.

Everything about this conference is intentionally evangelistic and community-focused, while still providing meaningful spiritual depth and renewal for our Adventist family.

Attendees will have clear opportunities to sign up for Bible studies, small groups, and follow-up events, ensuring that interests are nurtured well beyond the conference dates. Our prayer is that Adventists will be revived, inspired, and equipped, while the community experiences a winsome and Christ-centered presentation of the truth which leads them to further study and accepting the present truth.

How You Can Support

This is our first year, and we truly need your prayers and support. Lodging and meals will be available onsite. Registration and full event details will be released in late February. More information and pre-registration are available here.

Please keep this Bible Conference in your prayers as we step forward in faith, believing God will use this gathering to demonstrate how camp meeting can be both revival for the church and salvation-focused for the community.
